A Bold Collab

A Bold Collab has no room of its own. For its first show, open from August 11, 2025 into May 2026, it borrowed painter Matt Miller's studio on Meadow Street in Fayetteville and hung colorful work by eight local artists, Miller and co-founder Claire Pongonis among them, between mid-century and modern furniture and finds from thrift shops and French markets. The arrangement is the point: a piece is meant to read as something you would live with, not walk past, and each installation is put together to feel collected over time rather than styled. Two people split the work. Interior designer Andrea Brooks decides how a piece sits in a room; Pongonis, who spent two years as an assistant preparator at Crystal Bridges, meets the artists, reviews portfolios, and picks the work. Talking to Fayetteville City Lifestyle, the pair called themselves "the same vibe, different fonts." The walls take Northwest Arkansas and out-of-state artists both, but a local artist does the choosing. It is for anyone who wants to see local work somewhere closer to a living room than a white cube, and for artists who want to know who in town is hanging their peers. The one show on record has closed and no next date is posted; watch @aboldcollab for the next room.
