Eat well anywhere around here and there's a decent chance the cook trained here first: NorthWest Arkansas Community College runs its culinary program out of 8th Street Market, with degree tracks turning out the region's cooks, bakers, butchers and beverage professionals. Enrollment isn't the only way in. Its CORE community classes hand the teaching kitchens to home cooks and the merely curious, so fermentation and seasonal cooking are a Saturday's reach. Less a place you eat than the quiet engine under how well the region does.
