Faulkner Museum Gallery

The name says museum, but the University Museum moved out of this building in 2006. What is left is the better part: two exhibition rooms, a North Gallery and a South Gallery, inside the Faulkner Performing Arts Center, the 1937 Field House the University of Arkansas converted in 2015. The campus owns the walls; the shows come from the region. On February 7, 2026, the two rooms opened side by side with free entry, Melissa Milton in the North Gallery and Joëlle Storet Holt in the South, both NWA artists. Shelley Mouber's fall 2026 show works Gen X memory through mixed media, pop-culture material and found objects. The draw is whoever is hanging that month: this is a campus room lent to the local scene, and the openings are where it earns its keep. Since the museum left in 2006, what its own pages list is rotating shows, not a collection.
