MIXD Gallery in Rogers runs its exhibitions the way a label runs releases. Each show is a numbered drop, one a quarter, built around a single medium or theme, and the count now stands at twelve: Drop 001, Merging Spaces, opened the room in November 2022 with thirty regional artists across painting, photography, sculpture, and functional objects, and Drop 012, Field Notes on Memory, pairs Lauren Elder and Flora Saldivar. The walls carry paintings, prints, and photographs, but the drops also bring in regional makers' ceramics and furniture, shown beside them rather than in a gift corner. Founder Jane Hunt's stated aim is making collecting reachable for first-time buyers as well as practiced ones; Allison Hobbs directs and curates. Go to see who is working in the Ozarks right now, in a room that turns over every three months, and check the site before the drive: the gallery's own pages did not agree on the current drop's opening date when we looked.
