There is no bill to check before Thursday night on the Bentonville Square — the program is whoever turned up carrying an instrument. May through October, local players run country, blues, and bluegrass in an open acoustic circle, returning pickers passing tunes to younger ones as the ring goes around. Downtown Bentonville supplies the square, the hour, and the calendar; the music is the players'. The tradition started in 2002, and the organization relaunched it in 2025; the restart has held into a second season. Bring a guitar, fiddle, or banjo and you are in the program; bring a chair and you are the crowd.
