Onyx Coffee Lab
Jon and Andrea Allen started roasting in Springdale in 2012; in 2020 Andrea won the U.S. Barista Championship and a colleague took the Brewers Cup the same year, a sweep no American company had managed. The reason to care which Onyx you visit is that no two are the same room. Pick the one that fits the day, not the nearest dot.
The locations
The one just off the square, all concrete and clean light, with the Saturday farmers market at the door. Order a pour-over and take the window counter.
100 NW 2nd St, Bentonville, AR 72712Details → Fayetteville$$The smallest footprint, on the downtown Fayetteville square: order at the walk-up window and browse the florist sharing the space while you wait. Built for grabbing, not lingering.
26 W Center St, Fayetteville, AR 72701Details → Fayetteville$$The original Fayetteville shop, small and busy and loved by the regulars who got here first. No frills, just the coffee that built the name.
2418 N Gregg Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701Details → Bentonville$$Inside the Momentary's atrium, the design experiment: pink neon, glass counters, and a conveyor belt running drinks past a robot arm. Pair it with whatever's showing upstairs.
507 SE East St, Bentonville, AR 72712Details → Rogers$$The mothership — roastery, bakery, and training lab in one cavernous room. Come to watch the beans actually get roasted, then eat the pastry that came out an hour ago.
101 E Walnut St, Rogers, AR 72756Details → Springdale$$Three floors in downtown Springdale, with the bean-to-bar chocolate operation in the basement. Onyx's return to the town where it started — go downstairs to watch it run.
100 W Emma Ave, Springdale, AR 72764Details → Bentonville$$The newest and most ambitious: a full-day place with a real kitchen, built for lingering from morning coffee to an evening glass. Come hungry, not just caffeinated.
